The FD Group expands into Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire with appointment of new Associate Partner
The FD Group, which provides part-time finance director services to SME businesses in the Thames Valley and Hampshire, has appointed East Gloucestershire based Tim Allen as an Associate Partner.
Tim’s appointment marks an expansion for The FD Group as they broaden the scope of their part-time finance director services across Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.
Tim Allen, who is based near Cirencester, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) with almost 20 years experience, gained principally in the commercial property, and horticultural machinery industry sectors.
Tim has been at the Finance Director level for many years, and has extensive knowledge of international trade with companies such as Honda, Hayter, and Komatsu Zenoah in countries as far afield as the USA, Japan, China, and Europe generally. He carried out his accountancy training with Wenn Townsend, a well respected firm of Chartered Accountants based in Oxfordshire.
Tim joins The FD Group having recently helped a leading Corporate Hospitality company, based in Abingdon, with budgetary modelling, acquisitions, financial reporting, finance systems and control improvements.
Trevor Wilson, founding director of The FD Group comments: “We are extremely pleased to have Tim join us, at a time when many companies are starting to feel the effects of the economic slowdown. Strong controls in the finance area are vital in managing difficult times and our part-time finance director service is ideally positioned to help business owners overcome these challenges and move forward. As we expand across Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire, Tim’s considerable experience and his extensive local business knowledge will hugely benefit our clients in these counties.”
Tim Allen, comments: “Over the years I’ve helped Managing Directors, often too busy driving the business forward to focus fully on the finances, to get their finances and businesses back on track. I am looking forward to sharing this knowledge based on my years of SME experience with local growing business across Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.”
